Love, Truth

For so long I tried so hard

To convince myself of the truth

But I couldn’t know it deep inside

Because I didn’t feel loved

Now I have felt true love,

Indeed, a personal revelation of God’s love for me

The truth can sink in

Now the truth is everywhere

Every sermon, every song

That still small voice inside

On the lips of friends and strangers

I hear it everywhere

In the loving words of a wise woman

I hear them all cheering me on
